Porque, sí, es un libro entretenido, pero que no sabe qué quiere ser.

Me vi atraída por este libro cuando la autora lo promovió por Twitter como una historia protagonizada por una pareja lesbiana.
Pocas veces he leído libros así —diría que solo me he cruzado con las
novelas de Sarah Waters y algún que otro libro de piratas muy
cuestionable—, así que lo anoté en la sección de «quiero leer» de
Goodreads. Tiempo después la Pandemia atacó, los libros online bajaron
de precio y Quirón tuvo el detalle de regalarme el libro.
Antes de ponerme a leer, pensé que el título era interesante. La reina. No la princesa.
¡Un poco de variedad! De modo que, cuando encontré que estaba
protagonizado por dos princesas, una de las cuales busca el trono, me
animé pensando que tendríamos una maduración y escalada al poder. Quizá
como Doce Reinos.
Pues… Pues me hace gracia decir que he terminado el libro y sigo sin saber por qué se titula así,
dado que el statu quo de la historia no cambia y falta mucho, mucho
tiempo para que ninguna de las dos protagonistas llegue a ser reina. Y
comento esto porque creo que es importante para comprender por qué The
Queen of Ieflaria falla tanto a pesar de todo lo bueno que ha
construido.
